Alexander: the legacy of a sire
1941, Wilmersdorf Berlin. A small group of hunters plans to destroy the vampire Günther Fehring. The group are part of an organisation loosely connected to the catholic church, called Das Morgenrot. Günther Fehring functions as an SS officer who experiments on Cainites, even while he is one himself. His operation is quickly becoming a danger for the German resistance, so it has to be eliminated. This serves two purposes: it destroys a bunch of vampires, and it helps the German resistance.
The small tactical team plans their attempt carefully before going into the complex. The operatives don't use their own names, but use only numbers: Agent 5 has written a report that Agent 2 presents to the group. Agent 1 sets operation Grunewald in motion.
1999, Apollolaan Amsterdam. Agent 1 again tries to destroy Günther Fehring. Last time he was not succesful, but now he will be. With the assistance of a couple of younger agents, the old hunter succeeds in destroying his long time enemy. It all happens under the eyes of the childe Alexander Samplonius, who was hidden in the closet. Alexander recognizes Felix Moga: he was an agent of Das Morgenrot.
