The Coterie of Lucius disappears

In the months that followed, the blooddisease in Brasov got worse. It was discovered that it was connected in a peculiar way to the Black Cathedral and maybe to its relic. However, a final sollutions did not come about yet.
In the meantime, Nova Arpad, a Ventrue of considerable status among the Council of Ashes asked the cotrie to look into a case of petty theft. Ofcourse this could be seen as a deliberate attempt to put the inhasbitants of Brasov to their rightful place, but what could they do? So they went looking for the golden trinkets. Some of the trinkets were found, but the thief could not be apprehended.
By this time, Maud had disappeared. Maybe the blooddisease finally caught up with het, maybe she had other thing to do. Where she is now, nobody knows.
The continuing search for the blood problem, and the mystic convergence at the Cathedral led to some Tremere interest back in Amsterdam. A delegacy of Tremere from Utrecht offered to look into matters. Among them was Francseka Rosmberg, an old time friend and companion. Under the guidance of Chantry Regent Helena van Zolden the Tremere finally found a sollution to the problem with the relic in the Cathedral, and its sphere of influence. They devised a ritual. For that ritual to work, they needed the cooperation of all the kindred inhabitants of Brasov.
This ritual was very complicated, and had to take place in the Cathedral itself. The Coterie was by that time accompanied by a junior member of clan Tremere, Mathilda de Brau. She also had to take part in the ritual.
Until now, nobody knows what happened, but the ritual went terribly wrong. All the invited kindred had to stand in a circle, around a large deep hole in the middle of the cathedral floor. Candles were lit, and some blood flowed. Unspeakable things happened.
Then, a host of wraiths came out of the hole. A few of them got into a sort of fight with eachother, or with a ghost that was near Lucius Carrinthe. The next thing they knew, everything around them disappeared, became black is night.
