The attacks of the Assamites keep on coming. Again this means the end of one of the Coterie members. Even going into hiding doesn't seem to be enough to keep the French agent off their backs.

So it went down. Fourteen innocent people got killed, for what? It was all a ruse. Anowan was rescued by a strange man in Arabian traditional clothing, so everyone escaped the bar safely. This man, Nazir, had ulterior motives: he wanted to be trusted. For that he killed a lot of people.
So Nazir al-Djaleb joined the group for a stroll. Nobody knew he was a member of the group of Assamites that were following them, for ages it seemed. After he got their trust (fairly easy, ‘cos he got what they wanted: money), he succeeded easy in his diabolical plan. John Cairns was the victim. His old body was seriously hit with the poisoned dagger of the Assamite. Within minutes, he met his final death.
Nazir didn’t survive his vicious deed. He was attacked full force by the surviving members of the coterie. They feasted on his body big time.
Miraculously, Anowan stopped the working of the poison in the body of John Cairns. Nobody knows if he lives, but his body parts now reside in the keeping of the Cappadocian (what have you done with it, Anowan??).
Let’s hope this was the final act of the gruesome four. Only one of them survives, when two coterie members (the late Fitzgerald and now John) met their final death at the hands of the killers.
