Date: August 16th, 2003 – 22h15.
Location: Umpty Dumpty bar, Zagorodnyy Prospekt 1244
Short: explosive device in bar. 14 people killed.
Long:
At exactly 22h14 an explosive device of unknown origin was detonated at the Umpty Dumpty bar. Help (Hosp/Pol/Fir) arrived 10 minutes later. Several people were taken care of. Two people got sent to the hospital for second degree burns.
Eye witnesses from the bar mentioned the explosive device. It was a small trunk, black, leather. It was left behind next to a table in the middle of the bar.
Curious was that one person tried to get away as soon as he arrived at the authorities. His name was asked, but he tried to get away and succeeded. At the time it was concluded he was just a traumatized victim, but by now we can conclude that he could have been responsible for the whole affair. Some witnesses (See reports 03F162162 and 03F162178) mention that a person answering to the same description was seen sitting at the table were the explosion was reported to have taken place, next to the aforementioned trunk.
A more thorough investigation of the site was carried out the next day by officers McDonald and Niche. Their report is as yet unfinished under nr 03F162179.
