A report to my Lady;
In a village named Verascagino we found the girl Vassilia sitting on a stone, her parents apparently killed by werewolves. Some invisible friend seems to protect her most convincingly. Al she wants is to go to a mountain in the south for Baba Yaga.
The girl is about 8 years old with a distinctive moonshaped mark in her neck.
We decided to spend the night in a nearby shed, while Ivar the ghoul belonging to lady Anowan takes the time to look the village over. When he returns there is nothing of any interest to report. (Aside from having eaten bad food, which seems pointless to report to his mistress in my eyes, when was the last time she had really eaten?).
Some things are worth reporting though; wanting to investigate the place we found the girl and the dead werewolves, we found we were hindered, Our courage fails us, my rituals reveal great danger, something wants us gone. Though Gatske through her remarkable powers with the wildlife finds out that people out of the village it seems have removed the corpses. (The usefulness of Ivar seems very overestimated to me now).
Also Anowan seems to sense things there. The girl Vasilia insist on travelling to the mountain, many days removed from us, though reachable by train.
Aside from this we found out that the Gypsy people we met earlier were in the shed also, though a bit lower, the basement.... I believe it was Jack having investigated the shed beforehand, his powers of perception seem way below that of the lady Anowan. Probably she or Gatske would have made a better job of it, I had other concerns.
Zmei, a bald headed man seems to be the mysterieus friend that protects Vassilia, remakably a snake serving the grandmother of Russia, namely Baba Yaga bears the same name. Other interesting things of note, the girl sleeps at day, never went to school, and has drunk blood, the true significance of this all eludes me for the moment.
Vassilia doesn't seem to like Jack much, which doesn't surprise me in the least. But more importantly, my lady, she sees things, she knows somehow that lady Anowan actually has a child, though whether it is adopted, was given birth before her change, with descendants still living I have yet to find out.
Further confirmation about Zmei, is found by Jack, by reading a book no less, he can change in to a snake and is important in the armies of Baba Yaga.
Other info we found is that Baba Yaga is the childe of one Absimiliard, also a Nosferatu.
When we arrived in Ufalej station the girl Vassilia went agitated, it is very near! In a pond! She started looking for a duck, and a stone in the form of a duck, with an egg-shaped rock underneath is found.
It is at this stage that I decide to follow your wishes, thinking I could always claim to be using some kind of blood ritual, I hit Jack in the face with the egg-shaped rock, with indeed predictable results. The stone breaks, releasing a key, and Jack is goaded in revealing some of his greatest powers, appearently Dementia, it appears unfocused, strong maybe, but with dangers to the user as well. So no threat to you. At this stage Gatske appears with some disciplinary actions, and there is no underestimating her powers in this one, my head still rings.
After the necessary recovery period I decide to help follow the trail of the girl who had allready run off, changing my nasal capabilities in such a way that I could smell the trail. (I know, it looks very weird, but the results counts, not the means).
We find a cave filled with red glowing skulls, which is nothing to a Tremere, and certainly nothing to me, who has Dayak blood. (might make me feel homesick a little bit, and longing for the good old days).
The doorway is barred by Voshkov of the former KGB, a guy with weird, blackened skin, portruding teeth, a Nosferatu in the making I would say. Vassilia seemed distressed, not welcome. Voshkov claims Baba Yaga is not here, and we are not welcome, an answer Gatske seems to take offense. It all seems clear to me that the time for true violance has arrived, and perhaps I might goad others of this little group into revealing more interesting powers you might take an interest in.
Gatske at least shows her powers as expected, a marvelous creature; Jack, well is Jack actually; and Anowan seems on the verge of revealing more of hers; perhaps with a bit of persuading, I decide to change, showing more of my true self, who knows what it may lead to :)
Sincerly, your devoted,
Val.
(P.S. as a sidenote: Anowan would be a perfect handmaiden to you, I think you both have much in common, and should you need a jester, well there is always Jack, and Gottsa definately has her uses too for you, should you be inclined).
