The Gangrel Gatske Sylstra has joined the ranks in the fight. They're gonna need the firepower.

Dear Die-ary,

We’re waiting on a train station. Train station, yes. Durga Syn, the other old hag, wants us to travel to ... something to find out these things about Baba Yaga. Uh… yes. Thinks all very bad things that have happened in Petersburg are somehow related to Gehenna and Baba Yaga. Yes. That must be it. It all makes perfect sense to me now, uh-huh. God, I want my drinkie.

Absimiliard clanfather of the nosferatu. According to the Noddists, the ancients will rise again when Absimiliards offspring, the nosferatu, are being cleansed. That would be... right about now. Fortunately I’m not a Noddist. I wonder about the rest of us, though. Oh well. I think some of us are taking this Gehenna-thingie way to seriously.

Travelling even further to Kirov, accompanied by Durga Syn and her Roma following. By train, again. I think railways are very, very fascinating. Hear that droning sound? It makes me sleepy. Talked to some gypsies. Nice folks. Hidden away at the far back of the train. They had some really cool stuff, all kinds of orthodox church goodies like crosses, statues, relics and… and crosses, of course.

Funny. While we were at the Roma’s, Anowan and nature girl went back to our wagon to pick up the ancient scroll about Baba Yaga. They want me to wait a while for them, then go back as well to see what’s keeping them so long. By doing so, Durga Syn is supposed to come along with me as well, away from her loyal following. Like hell she will. Anyway, I was supposed to think about something else while killing time. And what better way, they thought, then bringing up a pink elephant. A pink elephant! Why, that most certainly won’t block my synapses! How very modest! What’s next? A pink whale? No way to subtle how about a pink submarine! Yes, that would be much better!

Morons...

(Nelly... the... Elephant...)

My pink friend Nelly the Elephant won’t leave me alone. I can’t focus on anything at all. So much for Anowan and nature girl’s cunning plan. I simply must take care of her. Now they’re all pissed at me because their stupid little setup failed. Of course I wasn’t going to see what was keeping them, I was far to busy with my obese little friend. Sigh.

(Nelly the Elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus)

Durga Syn wants us to find out more about Baba Yaga and the prophecy mentioned in the ancient scroll. She’ll keep the scroll, and in return ‘ll translate it for us. Furthermore, we’re supposed to get to the bottom of whatever ’s happening. Oh joy. Because the scroll has great value, we’re all allowed to pick one of the many religious objects the gypsies have gathered. Or should I say scavenged? Oh well. I simply had to choose the statue of a little pink elefant. John wanted some kind of book. He’s becoming quite the philosopher. Maybe he likes to play the strong silent type. The ‘new guy’ wanted a knife. How typical. Just can’t seem to remember his name. Don’t care bout whatever goth girl and nature girl might have taken... Pink elephant... Hmpf... Outragious...

(Off she went with her trumpety-trump)

Yusha Sheen tells us more of what is written about the ancient prophecy. I would have preferred a crossword puzzle over this, personally. Here goes: ‘there be dragons’, and as soon as the forefather has been cut from his bounds with the earth, the power of the old hag will be broken as well, which should all happen as soon as the child appears. Tough one, isn’t it? We think the child is a dhampire, a daywalker, like the one we met before in York. The old hag should be Baba Yaga, the ancient forefather is Absimiliard. Dragons are commonly associated with Gehenna. So with any luck, we’re all finally gonna die real soon now.

(Trump! Trump! TRUMP!)

We arrived at yet another small village, there seem to be a lot of those around these parts. Met a girl in an open space, crying while sitting on a rock because both her parents got butchered by a couple of werewolves. These werewolves, by the way, all got slaughtered by Vasilia’s friend and bodyguard Smij. He’s invisible. We know he’s hurt, but can’t see him anywhere. He’s invisible, you see. The werewolves seem to have become grotesque for some strange reason. Don’t know why. Vasilia can lead us to Baba Yaga, somewhere in a mountain, beyond a river. Feeling like the scarecrow who joined Dorothy on her way back home in the ‘Wizard of Oz’. I guess we’re not in Kansas anymore. Soon as I see a yellow brick road I’m outta here.
