It’s finally official, the Prince of York is dead. Now the time has come for a new Prince. Isn’t it exciting! I’m so thrilled with this new situation! It seems that the bloodhunt is off. Despite our disappointment over this, it’s probably all for the best. Elisabeth Mallroye has voted off Thorolf as the next Prince. Good riddance! By the way, we met some roadkill on our way, who wished to join us. Anowan agreed. Don’t know why, she never showed any interest in anything still ‘breathing’. I loved it when this ‘nature girl’ gave good old Philip a beating; you know, that worthless piece of ghoul-scum that calls himself a servant. I think Mallroye should really hire someone else. Mary d’Anseny will be the next Prince. We got an invitation to meet this medieval babe and to give her our honors, or something.
I’ve been having a terrible dream about some very tall figure rising out of the ground. It’s left me completely incapacitated. Had to spend a lot of willpower to pull myself together again. There goes my sanity! The mind is a terrible thing to waste, you know. And there’s this really big threatening star in the sky. It’s a pinkish-redish thingy that’s really starting to annoy me. Made some new friends in a cafe. A couple of mortals wanted to ‘mingle’ with us. We were happy to oblige, of course. Still wonder why the rest of the group tried to stop me and John from having a word or two with them.
We tried to get a closer look at the star with a telescope. We wanted to ’borrow’ one at the local observatory. So we cutted the power. Which at the time seemed a good idea, but then again everything stopped functioning. John, feeling very couragious, climbed up the building to take a peek. Didn’t help us all very much. It’s still a reddish thingy in the sky. And my head hurts. Again. Am I losing it? The others aren’t as badly affected by all this. Must be my sensitive nature.
...I’m dreaming: the Ravnos are dying by numbers. Some deity seems to have been slain in India. It seems that someone has obtained the hand of an Antediluvian, which has great powers. The red star is turning people, both mortals and vampyres, to violence. Mortals are being ritually butchered in the surroundings of St. Petersburg. And someone has been reenacting ‘Watershipdown’ at an animal farm as if it was a ‘hack-and-slash’ movie!
Went to a cafe. Was really great. Felt as if we were mortals. We all had the best pint of Guiness ever. This time Fitz hadn’t taken along his female servants and bodyguards, the two Swedish bimbo’s who share the same braincell. Life was wonderfull. All of a sudden I felt myself in love with the world, so there was only one thing that I could do... and then we woke up and found ourselves surrounded by flames! The cafe was on fire! It was all an illusion! Those wretched Assamites had finally gotten us! We had to get out, so we all went for the nearest exit, except for Fitz, who freaked out and ran into the fire. Was it suicide? An accident? We’ll never know. Naturally, we couldn’t save him. Sigh...
