Part as the price of their rescue in York, part as a ruse to get them out of the way, the Coterie of York gets sent to the Isle of Lindisfarne on the east coast of Northumbria. Some kind of inner family Giovanni thing is being held there, one that not even the Dunsirn know about.

With the use of a rowboat we get to the island, which has quite a history, vikings etc. Unfortunately it's also a bloody history. A monk awaits us, with some difficulty we gain acces, Anowan explains she wants to meet her brethern Cappadocians, but it is when she mentions having a message for Japeth son of Augustus that we are brought in.

We come before him, and he knows us all! He is quite tranquil, in control, and apparently he trusts his brother Claudius. Anowan however has a conscience problem, to give the message or a warning? Claudius' confession is not all that is going on... Japeth and Claudius seem to have different views over things. There's something about this room also: Japeth sits on a throne to the right of two others, the other left probably for Claudius, but for who is the middle one? Japeth starts to commune with a strange presence in the room, which gets quiet and filled with a light. A message is to be delivered, Claudius should come within three days for his confession. In the big middle throne a man with an old face, bearded and long hair seems to appear, could this be Cappadocius himself!? Jack seems to ask a question, but I've no knowledge to the answer. However both Anowan and I get a big message; an evangelistic one, and the Malkavians seem to know more of it. We are not cursed, but closer to God then others. Cappadocius wants to become a god, and we should find our own sacrificial lamb (Hey I can think up a few names, very close one's too, right Jack?!). But Cappadocius wants to be the sacrifice, for we are the clan of life after death. This shocks Japeth and after this Cappadocius disappeares.
Appearently Cappadocius never talks to outsiders, we are considered to be blessed. According to Anowan it seems that Cappadocius wants to free all Kindred of their sins (As if I got them..).
We leave the island, and seven persons await us ashore: Adana de Sforza, Brujah; Camilla Baines, female Malkavian; Josef von Bauren, Nosferatu; Milov Petrenkov, Gangrel; Rafael de Corazon, Toreador; Mistress Fauchon, female Tremere and Hardestadt. Hardestadt bids us welcome and congratulates us on our great victory in York (Finally welldeserved fame).
Hardestadt says they initially had send three others to the island, but through the intervention of the Inquisition it was us who got chased on the boat. That other group is no longer important, for we already have delivered the message. I'm sent away so they can confer, but I'm not that easily pursuaded, I manage to ensnare a spirit to spy for me, and important information is what I get for my doings. Hardestadt seems to have bad feelings about the Giovannis, and the Dunsirns are not very well known by him. Jack even belittles me! (One day Jack, one day very soon...). The rumour goes that the Giovannis wants to kill all or many, and want to use the powers of the Cappadocians to pull it off. But why? He also believes the image of Cappadocius was an illusion, since he dissappeared a long while ago. Anyway something is about to happen, a vortex is being created, animals are restless (Jack?). It is imperative to maintain the Masquerade!
And I hear all of this.....
26 March 2002
In a provided hide-out we are visited by an old woman named Synovea who offers help for free (Bad idea, certainly not a Giovanni or Dunsirn). She claims to be an interested sideviewer, and she has spoken to the three others who were embraced on the 4th of april 1444 during a feast. She was present, but didn't wanted them to be embraced.
Were they the sacrifice it took the conspiracy of Isaac to get away? We are to play a key role in thing about to happen. She also performs a strange ritual with an egg, full of blood. It seems the Giovanni plan to replace Japeth with Claudius? Synovea works for the Founders, the inner circle of the Camarilla (Great, just great...).
The meal was turned into a weapon, thirteen Kindred among which a certain Marianne, a freeliving Giovanni, who rather thinks of herself as a Cappadocian. In the end, only three Kindred were still existing. Of the Conspiracy of Isaac all but one, an Assamite named Al-Nasir still exist. We get a lot of info here; the Giovanni's seem to collect spirits/wraiths to use as a weapon against Gehenna, which I personnally think could be true.
According to Jack madness seems to be growing, hearing this from him it sounds strange to my ears... A vortex could be a sign, a beginning of great events to come.
We're getting alot of info here, and even more questions:
- Find Marianne.
- Does Augustus know what his son Claudius is doing?
Jack seeks info from Camilla the Malkavian, unsuccesful I believe. (Both are nutcases so no surprise there).
Anowan goes to Hardestadt, who is convinced that Cappadocius were never there, Japeth must have deluded us.
Synovea comes asking for info, is Marianne on the island? She seems convinced Cappadocius is there, and has a fragment of the ancient Book of Nod which the childe of Caine would have written. Nod is the area Adam and Eve ended up in after being cast out of Eden. In it there is supposed to be a means to alleviate the curse, unbecoming a vampire. Cappadocius has his own interpretation of it, he could be right or destroy us all. Japeth would know more.
