After the party, some neonate Kindred of Haarlem got invited to go to Berlin. A nightmare got the attention of Vampires worldwide. In the nightmare, Caine took an important role. Lucian, the Gangrel Elder of Haarlem ordered the neonates to investigate, after he saw elements in his dream that looked like Berlin.
In Berlin, the group lost two of their number, but also met and took along Anton von Oberweesel and Franceska Rozmberg The city is in turmoil, with lots of Vampires from all over the world going to meet the mysterious Vampire who says he is Caine, the mightiest and first Vampire ever.
The group finds out that all is not like it seems, and decides to help the justicar Karl Schreckt with this information. They leave Berlin soon after this.

Gabriella Constanza, Jean Luc, Christian Hollander and Lucius Carrinthe are called by Lucian to come to the Stadschouwburg. He gives them a letter of introduction for the Prince of Berlin, and a phonenumber they can call when they arrive there. The number is of a Ventrue named Peter Kleist. Jean Luc arranges a flight to Berlin, and the next evening the troupe leaves Holland.
5 January 2000
The group splits in two for the journey to Schiphol. One group uses a van, but encounters a werewolf along the highway A9. He is standing in the middle of the road, just waiting for them. The try to run him over, and seem to succeed. However, the vile creature is glued to the van, and won't release his grip. By driving along the guard-rail they manage to tear his arm off. They suck it dry, fighting for it. When they arrive at the airport, the see that the others have already arrived, after a safe journey.
After a short journey they arrive at Tegel airport in Berlin. Jean Luc has called some contacts in Berlin on the way to Berlin, and also Peter Kleist. They arrange a meeting in the Europa Center, a grand hotel in the center of Berlin, near the Gedächtniskirche. They take a room on the fourteenth floor, number 1416. As soon as they have inspected it, they try to seal it against the light. They will meet with Peter Kleist in the hotellounge at five, and he tells them they have to show themselves to the Prince in Charlottenburg Palace immediately. He will come along.
The Prince resides in the Audience hall, a very impressive eighteenth century Baroque hall. He welcomes the group and reads their letter of recommendation from the Prince of Haarlem.
He expains the rules of the city of Berlin, and offers them his help in the form of his right-hand man Peter. He can come along to show them the city. The group refuses his offer however. A few minutes to midnight, he tells them matter-of-factly that they should also go to the other Prince of Berlin, the one in the former eastern part of the city: Gustav. Of course there is no time anymore, because of the approaching sunrise. Right before dawn they arrive at the hotel.

First thing next evening, they go to Gustav. That is, they try to, but they don't know where to go. First they ask Peter, but he reacts angryly. Then they go to a kindred bar they've heard of: Die Fledermaus. It is a nightbar with a big dancefloor. After they've arrived there, Peter calls Lucius to tell him where they can find Gustav: Berlin Palace. In the dancing they meet with Stefan Rautigar. Gabriella thinks he's a mortal, and tries to drink his blood. After some moment, she notices that she's been bitten as well. He's drinking from her! Lucius is hunting more succesfully. Christian talks with Dieter Kotlar, a big German with blue eyes and blond hair. The conversation is about the foreigners in Berlin, and the unrest they cause. Furthermore, Dieter doesn't think this is the real Caine.
In the grand hall of Berlin Palace Gustav resides, with two retainers. He ignores the group completely as they come in, and continues to do so for minutes. Christian coughs to get his attention, and he is punnished by the full wrath of Gustav. He is very angry about the fact they've seen Wilhelm yesterday, but didn't bother to come to him sooner. He also wants to know exactly what they plan to do here, where they want to go, and how long they plan to stay in town. He explaines the rules, and tells them in a very cold tone that if they don't obey them, they'll die, but that's not his concern. After that he sends them away immediately.
Near the Brandenburger Tor they meet a group of Roma. A couple of caravans with strange symbols. Jean Luc walks towards them, pretending to be drunk. The leaders of the group are Natalia, a seventeen year old girl with more colorful clothing and hairstyle than the eyes can bear, and Alexi, who is a little bit older. Natalia tries to lure them out, she tries some practical jokes on them. It seems they also had the dream about Caine, but that's not the reason they came here. They've come here because of someone they lost over time. Natalia has lost her pal Ankla Hotep in the First World War. They've heard somewhere that he might be in Berlin, so here they are.
On their way to the hotel they walk through a narrow alley, and they bumb into a dark figure. It's a man in very stylish clothes, very sophisticated, but who is obviously in great panic. He tries to run along the group, but they try to stop him and calm him down. It's someone they saw earlier at Die Fledermaus. He's screaming: "Er ist zurück gekommen, er will uns zerstören!" When the group successfully tries to calm him down, he tells them that he ran into Caine. Caine told him that he should tell everybody that there will be a meeting tomorrow evening at the Gedächtnis Kirche. He is assured that it is very dangerous to ignore this 'invitation'.
The group grows restless, and tries to warn Kindred back home. Unfortunately, they are not able to reach anyone right now.
