After some time, a friend of mine, Franklin, began rambling about an American game. By then, that sounded like magic. It came from far away, so it just had to be good. So we began playing Advanced dungeons and dragons. Gosh, Advanced sounded ultra-cool.
So it went on for years, until I met some other friends, one of which decided to form a group of players to play this new game: Vampire. Ofcourse it wasn.t new anymore, but for me it was. Somewhere in 1998 I began playing a Ventrue his Chronicle.
Almost from the first moment I was gaming, I tried to be the dungeon master. I did some fairly succesful games, but never to my own satisfaction. Vampire would be a different thing altogether.
Soon I planned a campaign around the city I lived in, Haarlem. While forming the group and the Chronicle, I moved from Haarlem to Amsterdam, which is a small distance. I decided to make Amsterdam part of my World of Darkness, as it had been in the Chronicle I was used to play.
So it transpired that this World of Darkness revolves primarily around the two cities of Haarlem and Amsterdam.
